about

On the world called Hyperion, beyond the law of the Hegemony of Man, there waits the creature called the Shrike.
There are those who worship it.
There are those who fear it.
And there are those who have vowed to destroy it.
In the Valley of the Time Tombs, where huge, brooding structures move backward through time, the Shrike waits for them all.

Hyperion by Dan Simmons

My name is Federico Colnago, and I was born on a not-so-shiny morning on the 29th of February 1980, in Milan (Italy). What a day to be born but having such a strange birthday date it’s something I always considered to be special in some way and I like that!

At the moment, I’m living in Acton Town, London (UK), and pretty much everything is starting to settle down in my new life outside Italy. I’m actually working for Japan AirLines as a cabin crew of LONDON Base, and definitely enjoying it ;)

I started living my internet life back in 1994 when I was able to connect my 486 DX2 to the net for the first time using my 14400 baud modem. Still now, so many years later, I like/enjoy it as the first time, even if a lot is changed and is still changing.
I don’t think I could ever get tired of oozing around the net. Geek for life!

Right now I spend my life mostly around my job, my computers, my new home, my new & old friends, my readings, my favourite music, some occasional pictures and all the struggles of modern life.
Growing older sometimes is a very tough job and it drags you away from what you were and what you usually did, but someone has to do it: time can’t be stopped! ;)

An hopeless dreamer and proud of it, genetically geek, science-fiction worshipper, Linux fanatic, Russia obsessed, flight lover and stubbord stupid beer drinker… that’s me!
More or less.
There’s something more, but it will be cleared by reading my blog (I’ve an italian blog too. Just in case).
And for those of you brave and/or insane enough wishing to find out how I look like, click here for a picture of me taken in Prague (February 2005).

That’s all folks, if you mind about getting in touch with me for whatever reasons, here is well explained how, and just in the case you’d like to take a look in what I (would like to) read: here is my always growing Amazon.co.uk wishlist.
Tell me what you read, and I’ll tell you who you are!

Take care! ;)
