Actually: no.
It ended up having a problem in the e1000 driver (which is needed to use the ethernet card on my X60s) and being quite anxious and willing to try the new toy (the Thinkpad, of course) I put a Gentoo on it "Just to try it out". Well, I end up keeping it and using it also for my older Haldir (the old Compaq Presario). I feel the first time I'll install it (really install it) will be when I'll put my hands on my gateway/firewall/NFS/whatever machine, which still runs a Slackware 10.1 with kernel 2.4.29 and will soon need some help :p

I'm not completly new to Linux, but stil, the out-of-the-box Debian system is a little scary. I'll go for it when etch will be finally released.
